Traditional vs. alternative

I was reading an email from healthfreedom.net titled, “Is TV Starting to Show Value in Alternative Medicine?”. This article goes on about an acupuncturist (a recurring character) which is portrayed in a positive light in a TV show.

Maybe it’s the way I was brought up, but I wasn’t even aware that TV was biased. Granted, I don’t see a whole lot of people taking Immunocal in TV shows, but I just figured that was because they didn’t know about it.

I guess I’m pretty naive, eh?

Also mentioned in the article is the idea that the mainstream press doesn’t recognize alternative medicine. I’m afraid I wouldn’t have any idea about this as I don’t watch/read the press. The mainstream press are fear mongers. I don’t support the mainstream press at all.

Here, try this experiment: If you read the paper, write down how you feel after reading the paper. Then try not reading it for two weeks. See how you feel afterwards.

If you watch the nightly news, write down how you feel afterwards. Then try not watching it for two weeks and see how you feel. It’s just an experiment.

Immunocal is not promoted, except via word-of-mouth. So you’ll never see a TV commercial for it. But you’ll see tons and tons of TV commercials for deadly, mind-altering psycho drugs. Dang, it’s getting really bad. Never take a psych drug; it’ll mess you up but good. Don’t take my word for it, see what Mike Adams has to say about it at NaturalNews.com for details on that. Just search for “pharmaceutical drug” or something like that.

Oh, and one more thing: remember to take your Immunocal. ;-) It’s the best protein you can get.

Still going strong

Yes! I’m feelin’ great and still going strong! I take one packet of Immunocal in the evening before I crash (go to bed). I know some people who take it in the morning, but I’ve got enough to do in the morning. Plus, Immunocal helps me sleep. That’s a big plus for me. I really like getting enough sleep, and I really like sleeping well.

I read in the news online that some people are really worried about getting diseases such as hepatitus A or B or C or whatever. Because I take Immunocal, I don’t worry about things like that.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t go looking for trouble either. But I know I’ve got one hell of an advantage when it comes to beefing up my immune system and keeping myself healthy. With Immunocal fueling my immune system (as well as other systems)… I just don’t worry much.

Last weekend I worked out a little bit longer than the week before. I did 34 “Turkish getups”. A “Turkish getup” is an exercise which works almost the entire body. I use a kettlebell for this exercise. A kettlebell is just a dead weight; it looks like a large cannon ball with a handle.

To do one “Turkish getup”, you start on the floor, on your back, with the kettlebell in one hand so that it rests on your shoulder. Heft the kettlebell straight up. From this moment, the kettlebell stays up, and your arm had better stay straight, too. Push with your foot and lean onto your other elbow. As you start to get up in this way, keep the kettlebell straight up. Then crunch up and push with your other hand, pushing yourself up onto your feet. Once you’ve got your weight centered over your feet with the kettlebell high up above your head (centered over your shoulder), rise straight up. From this point, you basically just reverse what you did to get up there. You’ll end up back on the floor on your back, like when you started. There, that’s one (on one side). Now just switch the kettlebell around to your other hand and do it all over again with the other side. There, that’s one-prime (one on both sides). That’s just how I count.

When I began this exercise, I could do 4 on both sides. Now I can do 34. Even though I’m sweating and tired, I know I can do more, but I’ve been incrementing by one each week. It’s great. I love being healthy! :-)

Now, go get some Immunocal in you and feel great!

How to prepare Immunocal

This is how I prepare and mix up my Immunocal.

Immunocal shaker cup with chocolate soy milk
0) Make sure you have a little mixer cup (Immunotec usually sends you one with your first order) and pour in 2 or 3 ounces of orange juice or chocolate soy milk. I use chocolate soy milk.

Immunocal packet held from top Immunocal packet being tapped down
1) Hold the packet by the top and shake it so that the powder settles down to the bottom. Tap the packet down onto the edge of your sink or kitchen counter top, just to help ensure that the Immunocal powder is all down at the bottom.

2) Tear the packet open like this. The packet is very easy to tear open; it feels like paper.

3) Open it up and make sure the sides of the packet are straight.

4) Turn it over into the cup, dumping the Immunocal powder, and then tap the edges of the packet to get as much of the powder out as possible.

5) Now it looks like this. The Immunocal powder is completely covering up the chocolate soy milk. Snap on the plastic lid and make sure it is on there snug.

Immunocal being shook
6) GENTLY shake the mixer cup. Immunocal is very delicate. If you put it in a blender, you will destroy the bioactivity. If you put it in hot liquid, you will destroy the bioactivity. Personally, I don’t know how hard I would have to shake it to destroy the bioactivity, but I don’t take chances. I shake the mixer cup very gently back and forth for about two minutes.

Immunocal all shook up
7) It looks kinda like this after about two minutes. Now it’s time to enjoy! I think it’s like a slightly frothy chocolate shake. MMMmmmmmm, yummy!

Don’t forget to wash the mixer cup and lid when you’re all done.

Let me know what you think about this guide; leave comments below.

Excercise and sore muscles

One of the ways I can tell that Immunocal is working for me is that I don’t get sore after I work out.

For example, if I excercise hard Saturday morning, then take my Immunocal before I go to bed (which is what I normally do), then I am a little bit sore the next day. If I work out normally (not extra hard), and take my Immunocal, then I’m not sore at all. If I work out normally and skip my Immunocal, then I do get sore the next day. I’ve run this experiment many times, sometimes intentionally… sometimes unintentionally (because I just plain forgot).

Because Immunocal is like food for Glutathione (also known as a “precursor”), and your body makes Glutathione, and Glutathione helps with just about everything, it makes sense to me that it would help me recover so fast.

Sleep

I forgot to take my Immunocal the other day. I usually take one pouch about an hour before I go to bed. It seems to help me sleep. However, I was so intent on getting to bed on time that I rushed my nightly routine and completely forgot about taking my Immunocal.

Lemme tell ya: I sure noticed it when I got up the next day. I did not sleep well. I felt kinda crappy, like I had slept in a bad position all night. I hated my alarm clock (more than usual) and wanted to go back to sleep again. It was no good.

I sleep much better when I take one pouch of Immunocal before I go to bed, as part of my nightly routine.

Trying out Immunocal for the first time

I still remember my first experience with Immunocal.

It was many, many years ago. I was in a small apartment in Glendale, CA, and I worked for a budding internet company on our way to stardom. As it turned out, the company became a dot-gone during the tech slump.

But it was during this time that I developed some kind of rash on my arm. It didn’t much bother me, but it was kinda annoying in that it never went away. It was about an inch across, round, and red. It didn’t itch, but still I couldn’t get rid of it. It didn’t matter what I put on it, either.

I heard about Immunocal from a good friend. He just loved the stuff. So I decided to give it a try. Shortly after I started taking Immunocal, I noticed that the annoying rash on my arm was gone. I was quite surprised, because I didn’t even notice it gradually go away. It was there one day, and POOF! Gone the next.

That was the start. It gets better, but I’ll have to tell you about that another day.
